Hi, I'm Jon.

Former Investment Banker. Burgeoning Software Engineer.
About Me
After graduating from Emory University with a Finance & Accounting degree, I proceeded to work on Wall Street for 5 years in investment banking and private equity. Although I was having a successful career by most standards, it did not bring me the joy or fulfillment I wanted out of my profession. That realization set me down a different path.
I left Wall Street altogether, becoming a Customer Engineer at a data analytics software startup called Looker (a subsidiary of Google Cloud). I spent two years growing my technical skills (SQL, Python, and Javascript). But the more I learned, the more my appetite for knowledge grew. That led to where I am today - obtaining a formal computer science degree and becoming a software engineer.
